CI OS100 Catalyzed Oxygen Scavenger
Steam Boilers and High-Pressure Systems | Eliminates Dissolved Oxygen Faster Than Standard Sulfite | Catalyzed Chemistry That Reacts at Low Temperatures and During System Upsets
CI OS100 is the catalyzed oxygen scavenger for steam boiler systems where standard sulfite isn’t fast enough. Its sodium sulfite base is enhanced with a proprietary catalyst that accelerates the oxygen-sulfite reaction at lower feedwater temperatures and during the load swings, startups, and fluctuating conditions where uncatalyzed scavengers lag behind and leave tube walls exposed. Where CI SP50 is the standard liquid sulfite scavenger for steady-state steam systems, OS100 is the upgrade for operations where feedwater conditions are less predictable and the operator needs oxygen removed on contact, not minutes later. Dosed into the makeup or feedwater line, it reacts immediately upon contact with dissolved oxygen and maintains consistent sulfite residual in the 50–100 ppm range when monitored properly — neutralizing oxygen before it reaches critical boiler surfaces. Liquid format feeds cleanly without the clumping, undissolved solids, or feed line plugging associated with dry sulfite products. By keeping oxygen out of the boiler water faster and more reliably, OS100 reduces the pitting corrosion, tube failures, and heat transfer losses that drive unplanned shutdowns and pressure-part replacements. Compatible with other CI boiler treatment chemicals and standard automated or manual feed systems. Same job as SP50 — but faster, more responsive, and built for systems where conditions don’t stay steady long enough for standard sulfite to keep up.
Technical Data
CI OS100 Catalyzed Oxygen Scavenger
Catalyzed liquid sodium sulfite oxygen scavenger formulated for steam boilers and higher-pressure systems where standard sulfite is too slow to keep up. Built for operators who need dissolved oxygen removed quickly during startups, load swings, colder feedwater conditions, and other unstable operating periods where oxygen attack can outrun an ordinary scavenger program.
