Start with the catalogue Each product-line section lists what the range covers and where each product sits. Use it to shortlist before you open individual sheets.
Specify from the data sheet Write specifications from the technical data sheet, not from a summary. It carries the dilution, application and pack-size detail a tender will be checked against.
Download, don't copy Attach the PDF as issued rather than retyping figures. If a sheet is revised, the shelf carries the current version — replace your file copy.
Safety documents live elsewhere Technical data sheets describe how a product performs. For hazard, handling and first-aid information, use the Safety Data Sheet library. Both belong in the approval file.

Reading a Technical Data Sheet

A technical data sheet answers one question: will this product do the job in my conditions? Every Chem International sheet is organized so those answers sit in the same places. The three highlighted below are the ones a specification is written from.

  • DescriptionWhat the product is and the soils, systems or conditions it is made for.
  • ApplicationWhere and how it is applied — surface, equipment, contact time, rinse.
  • DilutionRatios for each task, as printed on the label. Specify these, not a summary.
  • PropertiesForm, colour, scent and the physical data relevant to storage and handling.
  • Pack sizesThe containers the product ships in — needed for tender quantities and storage planning.
  • DirectionsStep-by-step use, plus any surface or material cautions.
