Solutions Catalogue2026 Edition · 197 products · six working disciplines
Professional-grade chemistry for municipal wastewater, water treatment, food service, sanitation, facility maintenance and industry — formulated and supplied in Western Canada.
Matched to the equipment, the water and the soil load that are actually there.
Chem International formulates and supplies professional-grade chemistry from Edmonton for the people who keep municipal, institutional, industrial and commercial facilities running — the towns, counties and mid-sized cities of Western Canada that run their own lagoons, boilers, arenas, kitchens and fleets.
The range is organized into six working disciplines. Each product carries a catalogue number for reference and one or more order codes for purchasing; every entry is supported by a current label, Safety Data Sheet and technical data sheet, none of them gated. Descriptions summarize; directions, dilutions, dwell times and registrations live on those documents.
Where a site needs a treatment sequence rather than a single product, CI designs the sequence and documents it — site assessment, product selection, dosing, test kits and follow-up — under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system.
Municipal Wastewater
Lagoons, lift stations and collection systems run on biology and time. This section covers the products that keep both on the operator’s side: bacterial and enzyme programs for lagoon and lift-station treatment, bio-accelerators for sludge reduction and upset recovery, sewer maintenance and odour control, and bulk treatment chemicals for municipal water and wastewater plants.

Water Treatment
Boilers, closed loops and cooling towers fail from the inside — oxygen pitting, hardness scale, microbial fouling. This section covers boiler compounds and oxygen scavengers, cooling water treatments and biocides, inhibited glycol heat-transfer fluids, and the drop-count test kits and reagents operators use to hold a program inside its control window.
Food Service
Food service and food processing chemistry is judged on residue, rinse and repeatability. This section covers warewash detergents, rinse additives and sanitizers, food-contact degreasers, food-plant foam and CIP cleaners, and the drain and grease-trap treatments that keep the back of house flowing.

Commercial Sanitation
Clean, disinfected, odour-controlled facilities. This section covers housekeeping cleaners and laundry chemistry, disinfectants and sanitizers, odour control, sanitary drain treatment and hand hygiene for commercial and institutional buildings.

Facility Maintenance
Floors, surfaces, restrooms and grounds held to standard. This section covers floor finishes, strippers and carpet care, surface-restoration aerosols, restroom hygiene, and the ice melters, deicers and pavement products that carry a facility through a prairie winter.

Industrial Remediation
Degreasers, fleet, lubricants and protective coatings. This section covers industrial degreasers and acid cleaners, fleet and vehicle-wash chemistry, aerosol lubricants for maintenance and machining, and coatings, sealants and protectants for equipment and electrical systems.

Talk to a technician, not a call centre.
Orders, quotations, product selection and technical questions are handled from Edmonton by the people who formulate and support the products. Field technical representatives visit sites for assessment, program set-up and follow-up.
