Inhibited ethylene glycol antifreeze and heat transfer fluid formulated for freeze protection down to −50°C. This is the medium-toxicity side of the glycol line — the standard chemistry for sealed industrial, mechanical, and boiler-related heat-transfer systems where ethylene glycol is acceptable and deeper low-temperature protection is required. The inhibitor package provides the corrosion protection untreated glycol cannot, helping protect the system as the fluid ages in service. Compatible with CI boiler water treatment compounds, which makes H-6040 the glycol choice for facilities already running an existing CI boiler program. Clear, colourless, and supplied ready to charge at the rated freeze point; can be diluted with water where protection below −50°C is not required.
