CI ColdZone BioLift – Cold Water Lagoon Ammonia Treatment
Support Biological Performance in Cold Wastewater Lagoons
CI ColdZone BioLift is a cold water lagoon treatment designed to support biological function and reduce ammonia, BOD, TSS, and sludge in wastewater systems operating at low temperatures. Its targeted formula maintains consistent activity between 3°C and 15°C, making it suitable for seasonal and year-round use in colder climates.
Technical Data
CI ColdZone BioLift is a targeted cold water lagoon treatment formulated to maintain biological performance in wastewater systems exposed to low temperatures. It contains a precise blend of essential vitamins, biostimulants, biocatalysts, and selected cold-adapted microbial species. These components support both indigenous and introduced bacterial populations in the breakdown of organic material, helping reduce biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), ammonia concentrations, total suspended solids (TSS), and sludge.
This product is specifically designed for lagoons operating in cold conditions, with optimal functionality between 3°C and 15°C. It promotes stable microbial activity even in winter months, addressing the seasonal drop in ammonia removal efficiency commonly experienced in municipal and industrial lagoon systems.
CI ColdZone BioLift is applied in water-soluble bags that can be tossed directly from the shoreline, allowing for easy and accurate dosing. A standard daily dose of 0.5 lb per acre is recommended for general biological support, while a higher dose of 2 lb per acre may be used when additional ammonia reduction is needed.
For enhanced results, CI ColdZone BioLift can be paired with CI OxyBoost to increase dissolved oxygen levels and improve water clarification. This combination supports more effective nitrification and overall system recovery during colder operational periods.
Each pail contains twenty 1-lb soluble bags, providing a practical and adaptable solution for operators managing cold water lagoon conditions throughout the year.
