Bio-enzymes work at the molecular level

Bio-enzyme chemistry is not a compromise. It is a different mechanism. Where synthetic cleaners rely on oxidation, saponification or caustic action — fast, but carrying risk to infrastructure, staff and downstream biology — enzymes work with precision, continuing until the organic substrate is exhausted.

Organic accumulation in drains, traps, lift stations and lagoons is not a cosmetic problem. It is active degradation. Grease, fats, proteins and carbohydrates trap moisture, create anaerobic pockets where bacteria proliferate, generate odour compounds, reduce flow capacity and give the next round of debris something to adhere to. The longer it sits, the more entrenched it becomes and the more aggressive the intervention required to remove it.

What organic buildup actually does

Flow reduction

Deposits narrow the working diameter fast. A 10 mm layer inside a 50 mm line leaves roughly a third of the original cross-section — and the loss accelerates as the opening shrinks.

Odour generation

Anaerobic decomposition of trapped organic matter produces sulphide and other volatile compounds. The smell is not the problem; it is the signal that biological degradation is running unchecked.

Biofilm foundation

Organic substrate is what biofilm needs to establish. Once the film forms it shields the organisms beneath it from both chemical and mechanical attack.

Equipment and capacity loss

In food service, trap backup forces emergency cleaning. In collection systems, FOG drives pump failures and loads the plant. In lagoons, accumulated sludge takes treatment capacity out of service.

Localized corrosion

Organic acids from bacterial decomposition depress pH in pockets against the pipe wall, and the anaerobic conditions underneath a deposit are exactly where pitting starts. The deposit protects the process attacking the metal.

Operating principle: organic buildup is not inert until removed. It is a continuously evolving condition. Early intervention on a schedule costs less than blockage, odour complaints and equipment failure — every time.
